The Lodge at Leathem Smith has been a Door County landmark since it was built in 1922. Leathem D. Smith constructed the country club, yacht dock and golf course in Door County. In 1937, the Great Depression caused Leathem to sell the Lodge, but he was able to repurchase it in 1945. In mid-1946, the Lodge re-opened as the Leathem Smith Lodge, focusing on a new industry – tourism.

In 2011, Paul Meleen purchased the notable property to provide Door County with a unique place that offers the best of waterfront lodging, dining, entertainment and marina access, all in charming Sturgeon Bay. It is with great pride that we welcome you to our historic facility and sincerely hope you enjoy your stay.
